Troubleshooting Tips for foaming pumps
- With regular normal use, a foamer bottle should last for about a year before it begins "sticking". To keep foamers from sticking, they must be used regularly so the soap does not dry on the mesh screen and clog the pump.
- The air chamber must also be kept free from liquid. If this happens, remove the pump from the bottle, turn it upside down and try to pump the liquid out of the chamber.
- Check that the small tube that leads to the pump is not pushed too far into the pump, pulling it out slightly. This allows for air to flow to create the foam. You will see a small ball that sits above your tube, make sure this ball has room to move.
- Flush your foaming pump (never soak or submerge your pump) with white vinegar. (Pump white vinegar through the foaming pump.)
- Don’t seal the bottle too tightly – This may affect performance, and you’ll start seeing the actual bottle creating suction. Loosen lid and continue using.
- The life of the pump can be extended by keeping the cap on when not using the bottle and keeping the uncapped bottle out of direct contact with water.

Organic Calendula Extract: Known for its active constituents, triterpenoids and flavonoids, that provide anti-inflammatory, antiseptic and astringent properties. Has therapeutic benefits similar to those of aloe.

Wet face and hands. Apply 1 or 2 pumps to hands and massage into skin. Rinse off with warm water and pat skin dry. For best results, follow with toner and moisturizer.

This cleanser would be amazing even if it wasn’t as clean as it is, but the fact that it’s EWG-verified takes the cake! The Green Tea Foaming Facial Cleanser is the option I reach for most often to clean my face after a day in the field, when I'm coated in a few layers of sunscreen, herbal insect repellent, and lots of dirt, pollen, etc. after a day of habitat restoration. Using the foaming cleanser with a face brush leaves me feeling scrubbed clean. (In contrast, I use the gentle facial cleanser in evenings after I've been teaching environmental education to kids, but I've been indoors more of the day, and I'm possibly coated in germs, but not in lots of dirt/debris.) I generally use the carrot and calendula toner after cleaning my face with this, and night cream (or day cream, if it's earlier) after that. I tend to have very sensitive skin, and this cleanser has not caused any skin issues.
